Mike Costa is a lifelong horticulturist and a respected leader in South Florida's ornamental plant industry, with more than four decades of experience growing premium interior foliage plants.
Mike began his career as a founding member of Costa Nursery, working alongside his father, Jose Antonio Costa Sr., and his brother, Tony Costa. Established in 1961, Costa Nursery grew into one of Homestead's premier producers of tropical foliage plants and helped shape South Florida's interior plant industry.
Following Hurricane Andrew in 1992, Mike founded Mike Costa Foliage, where he continued his commitment to producing exceptional tropical foliage.
Today, Mike continues that tradition at The Lost Horizons Nursery in Homestead, Florida. Specializing in hanging baskets and premium interior foliage plants, The Lost Horizons Nursery proudly serves wholesale growers and distributors throughout the industry.
